Treats from Marcilyn
Marcilyn sent some treats from the UK. Here is Ruby in a dress Marcilyn got on her trip to Africa. I love it Marc. And of course this is Jeffrey after his morning digestive biscuit. I could eat my own weight in digestives. He's lucky I shared with him. When we were in London a few years back Marcilyn and I were anxious to find some digestive biscuits at the grocery store, but after looking through the cookie shelf couldn't find them anywhere. When we asked the clerk, he was so confused, "You couldn't find them on the biscuit aisle?" Oh, there's a whole biscuit AISLE. We stocked up and ate a lot of biscuits on that trip. Wish I were there with you. Thanks Marcilyn. We love you and miss you tons.

Happy Birthday to me
I know it's kind of hard to see this picture, but it's my birthday poster. I had a great birthday yesterday. I really thought Dave had forgotten completely, but he surprised me with a birthday poster and fresh homemade bread. He brought me Rainier cherries when he came home from work and then we went out for some great Thai food last night. He even got me my favorite cake from Whole Foods. It was all very thoughtful. I got phone calls from almost my entire family, even Marcilyn and my good friends Anne and Emily. Thank you all for thinking of me on my birthday. I am so lucky to have such wonderful family and friends. I love you all dearly.

Camping
We went camping with some friends this last weekend and we had a great time. It rained on us pretty good on Friday night, but overall it was really nice. Jeffrey and Ruby just loved being outside for 2 days straight and as we were leaving on Sat. afternoon Ruby declared that she wanted to camp forever. I love camping too, but I am not sure I am as excited about doing it forever as she is. These are just a bunch of pictures of us and friends.

The Lake
I took the kids to the lake yesterday with our friends the Neville's and Montano's. Jeffrey and Ruby didn't get out of the water almost the entire time we were there. It was a beautiful sunny day, we ate snacks on the sandy beach and the kids played in the sand and water. It was heaven. It brought back a lot of beautiful Bass Lake memories. There is nothing more joyful than watching children play at the lake.
