I'm Crying and I'm Laughing

Ruby finally did it. I thought we had passed the age where this was likely, but I was wrong. Today while I was on the phone with Camila, my sister the family hair stylist who just gave Ruby an adorable bob 2 weeks ago, Ruby took scissors and chopped her own hair. And not in the back. It's never in the back. She whacked and chopped her bangs completely off. They are freakishly short with no way to fix it. She looks like a crazy homeless child without parents who love and watch over her. A poor street urchin forced to do her own haircutting out of pure desperation. She chopped the cute right off. She's bangless. Are we scheduled to do family pictures next week? Of course we are! Does she start school in 2 months? Yep! Will she do it all looking like a loony bangless child? Yes, Yes she will! So I am simultaneously experiencing two emotions at once. I am crying because it's hard to see my beautiful little girl now. I am laughing because she looks hilariously terrible.

OOHHHH Ruby. Sounds vaguely familiar, When I was 5 I cut my bangs and I have the family and school pictures to prove it. I also had a cute little blonde bob at the time. hum?

whatever short bangs are super hip and trendy right now and at the same time classic think audrey hepburn in roman holiday. What ever you do just let it go, my mom still reminds me of when i cut my own hair at age seven.

we are laughing so hard right now! Ruby looks so proud of herself in those pictures! Totally awesome! {and by the way...we have decided that Conner actually looks a TON like Ruby, especially the profile!}

There is an idea! Conner is always asking everyone if they want to "spikely" like him. Maybe this is you opportunity to give him a cousin with the same hair cut!? Maybe?! I'm just saying!

The best part of this story is that I actually remember when you did this to yourself, when you were the exact same age, and it was freaky to see that picture. Awesome. Like Mother Like Daughter!!!

I FOUND YOU!!!I laughed sooo hard when I saw this. It brought back a flood of memories from when Maddy did it and Cam had to fix it. I remember crying on the phone to my mom!
